Google Ads Manager
Create and manage Google Ads campaigns, ad groups, ads, keywords, and assets from Ads Optimiser.
Campaign types
- Search — text ads shown in Google Search results
- Display — image and video ads across the Google Display Network
- Video — video ads on YouTube and partner sites
- Performance Max — automated campaigns across all Google channels
Creating a campaign
- Go to Campaigns and select the Google tab
- Select your Google Ads customer account from the dropdown
- Tap New Campaign
- Choose a campaign type and objective
- Set your budget and bidding strategy
- Save
Ad groups
Within a campaign, create ad groups to organise your ads by theme or audience:
- Open a campaign
- Tap New Ad Group
- Name the ad group
- Add keywords (for Search campaigns) with match types — Broad, Phrase, or Exact
Creating ads
Responsive Search Ads
For Search campaigns, create Responsive Search Ads (RSAs):
- Open an ad group
- Tap Create Ad
- Add up to 15 headlines and 4 descriptions
- Google automatically tests combinations for best performance
- Set the final URL
Video and Display Ads
For Video and Display campaigns, upload creatives from your generated jobs as Google Ads assets.
Keywords
Manage keywords within ad groups:
- Broad match — widest reach, matches related searches
- Phrase match — matches searches that include your keyword phrase
- Exact match — matches searches with the same meaning as your keyword
Reporting & Analytics
Account Performance Summary
At the top of the Google Campaigns page, a summary card shows aggregate metrics across all campaigns:

| Spend | Total ad spend for the selected period |
| Clicks | Total clicks across all campaigns |
| Conversions | Total conversion actions |
| ROAS | Return on Ad Spend (conversions value ÷ cost) |
| Impressions | Total ad impressions |
| CTR | Click-through rate (clicks ÷ impressions) |
| CPC | Average cost per click |
Use the date range pills to switch between time periods:
- 7 days — last 7 days
- 30 days — last 30 days
- This Month — current calendar month
Campaign Performance Metrics
Each campaign card shows inline performance metrics:
- Spend — total cost for the period
- Clicks — click volume
- ROAS — return on ad spend, colour-coded:
- Green (≥3.0x) — profitable
- Yellow (1.0–2.99x) — break-even
- Red (under 1.0x) — losing money
- Grey — no conversion data
Campaigns are sorted by spend (highest first) so you can quickly identify your biggest spenders and their returns.
Ad Review Status
Each campaign shows an approval badge indicating the status of its ads:

| Approved (green) | All ads reviewed and approved |
| X under review (yellow) | Some ads still being reviewed by Google |
| X disapproved (red) | Some ads rejected — action needed |
| No ads (grey) | Campaign has no active ads |
Review badges load automatically after the campaign list renders.
Campaign Drill-Down
Click into a campaign to see detailed insights at every level:
- Campaign level — overall spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, ROAS
- Ad Group level — performance per ad group
- Ad level — individual ad performance with engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares for video ads)
Insights Panel
The insights panel shows metrics with date range support:
- GAQL date ranges — Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This month, Last month, This quarter, Last 12 months
- Custom date ranges — pick specific start and end dates
- Conversion metrics — conversions, cost per conversion, conversion rate
- Video metrics — play actions, 2s/6s watched, 25%/50%/75%/100% completion rates
