AI Characters

Create a virtual brand ambassador in 60 seconds. Upload a few photos of any person and the AI learns their face — then generate them in unlimited scenarios, outfits, and settings with consistent identity across every ad creative.

How it works

1. Go to Generate and select a Luma Photon model (Photon 1 or Photon Flash)
2. Click + New Character in the Character section
3. Enter a name (e.g., "Sarah - Brand Ambassador")
4. Upload 2-4 photos of the same person
5. Click Save

Your character is now saved in the Character Library and available from the dropdown for any future generation.

Generating with a character

1. Select your saved character from the dropdown
2. Write a prompt describing the scene — e.g., "Professional woman standing confidently in front of a modern office building, business attire, sunny day"
3. Click Generate

The AI generates the image with your character's face and likeness in the scene you described.

Character Library

Characters are saved to your workspace and available to all team members. Manage them from the Generate page:

• Select a saved character from the dropdown
• Create new characters with the + button
• Delete characters you no longer need

Characters are workspace-scoped — every team member in the workspace can use them.

Photo tips

For the best character likeness:

Do	Don't
Clear, well-lit face shots	Sunglasses or face coverings
Different angles (front, 3/4 profile)	Heavy shadows across face
At least one full body shot	Group photos with other people
Neutral expressions	Extreme expressions or motion blur
2-3 photos minimum, 4 for best results	Just one photo

Batch campaign with characters

Generate an entire campaign featuring the same person:

Character + Template batch

1. Select a character
2. In the template gallery, check multiple templates (multi-select mode)
3. Click Generate Campaign
4. Each template generates a separate creative — all with your character

Example: Select "Sarah" + check 5 real estate templates → 5 creatives of Sarah in different property scenarios.

Multi-platform batch

1. Select a character and write a prompt
2. Check "Generate for all platforms"
3. Click Generate → creates 3 images:
   • 9:16 for TikTok and Instagram Reels
   • 16:9 for YouTube and websites
   • 1:1 for Instagram feed and Facebook

All three feature the same person with the same prompt.

The killer combo

Character + Style Lock + Templates + Platforms:

Select a character → lock a style reference → check 5 templates → enable all platforms = 15 consistent, on-brand creatives in one click. Same person, same visual style, across every platform and scenario.

Style reference

In addition to character identity, you can lock a visual style:

1. Upload a reference image that defines the look you want (e.g., a polished magazine ad, a specific colour palette, or an artistic style)
2. Set the weight (0.0–1.0) to control how strongly the style is applied
3. Generate — your character appears in the scene with that visual style

When both character and style reference are set during a batch, every creative in the campaign maintains both the same person AND the same visual aesthetic.
