Connect Your Instagram Account
Connecting Instagram lets you publish photos, carousels, and Reels directly from Ads Optimiser.
Steps
- Go to Connect in the sidebar
- Under Instagram, click Connect Instagram
- You'll be redirected to Facebook to authorise the app
- Grant the requested permissions and select the Instagram Business or Creator account to link
- You'll be redirected back to Ads Optimiser
Once connected, your Instagram account name and profile picture appear on the Connect page.
Requirements
- Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account (personal accounts are not supported by the Instagram API)
- The Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page
What you can do
- Publish photos — upload a single image as an Instagram post
- Publish carousels — create multi-image carousel posts
- Publish Reels — upload video creatives as Instagram Reels
- View Content Library — see your published Instagram posts with engagement metrics (likes, comments)
- Schedule posts — set a future date and time for automatic publishing
Token refresh
Instagram tokens are long-lived but do expire. Ads Optimiser refreshes tokens automatically in the background. If you see authentication errors, disconnect and reconnect your Instagram account.
Disconnecting
Go to Connect and click Disconnect next to your Instagram account. This revokes access.
